F-list headsup: I'm going to be dumping some stuff on EGLsales soon.  Most all of these are due to them not actually fitting right or being too big/small, etc...

Miho Matsuda.
Seriously the biggest catch out of everything I'm posting.  Miho shoes are so hard to get.

Not sure if I want to sell this, but maybe...
Angelic Pretty crown shoes in black.  These were seriously my dream shoes for a while when I first got into j-fashion....

Last Window Famitsu Review/Commercial

  • Jan. 6th, 2010 at 10:57 PM
Yeah, another post from me; pretty much all I've posted is a fic and Last Window news! But I know you guys are all really excited for this game, and so am I! 1up.com gave a little blurb on Famitsu's review of the game, which I've posted below. Under the cut are the Japanese commercials, which feature some jazzy music:

- Last Window (9/8/8/7, 32 points): The sequel to Nintendo's Hotel Dusk gets pretty good reviews -- arguably, the best a straight-on adventure game can do in Famitsu's cross review system. "The way a game-over can be lurking behind every corner keeps things really taut and atmospheric," one writer said. "The puzzles, all taking advantage of the DS's features, feel like they've been further refined a great deal, and the way the chapters you finish get turned into novel form is a novel idea."

A lot of love for Cing's latest was felt all around (they even liked the music, which is "so great that you find yourself just sitting there listening to it"), but Famitsu also brought up how painful puzzle-solving can be with games like these. "Some puzzles are purely trial-and-error, and a few them are hard work the way you want them to," one reviewer said. "Some of the ways you solve them also seem a tad arbitrary to me." Other complaints included the introductory segments ("a little boring") and a lack of an option that lets you review the text of an entire conversation.

(I like how they mention the music. I really enjoyed Hotel Dusk's soundtrack, and I'm digging what I hear from the trailers.)

  • Jan. 7th, 2010 at 4:10 AM

With CES 2010 officially underway, Microsoft kicked off the show with their annual Keynote tonight.  During the keynote, some Xbox 360 news was announced. Allow me to sum it up for you:

We now have over 39 million Xbox 360’s around the world. Since launch, over 500 million games have been sold generating 20-Billion dollars in sales.

Between Christmas and New Years, Xbox LIVE experienced it’s busiest weeks ever, welcoming a new member every second and recording over 2.2. million concurrent members online.

This Spring, the first Modern Warfare 2 content packs will be available exclusively first on Xbox LIVE.

Later this Spring, ‘Game Room’ will come to Xbox LIVE. This is a destination for the classic arcade games.  You can buy once and play on both your Xbox 360 and Windows PC. A new game will be released every week. You’ll be able to invite friends through Xbox LIVE and share your custom arcade and show off your personal collection.

Project Natal is coming this Holiday 2010

Keep an eye on Inside Xbox for more details on all of the above.

[info]baby_pen is LEAVING THE INTERNETS :(

This saddens me. Some of you might know of her work, she was big in the Gundam Wing fandom back in the day, and was the author of Gay Baker, a wonderfully drawn and delightfully written BL webcomic.

I didn't really know her, I was just a fan. So, sadness. :C
Lord have mercy i gained weight..

Today..well yesterday from 11:00 - 9 PM is what you would call a blessing in disguise. I would defintely learn to not tell your future person whos going to interview you that you have nothing to do tomorrow. "BAD BAD BAD IDEA" ..

Anywho I managed to score an interview later today at 4:00PM. So yesterday I managed to get my hair did.. (OUCH).. I got a cornrow bun done in my head..So my head is a bit tender..well my scalp mostly. and i had to buy a new suit...

:( I am now a memeber of the camel toe society..with my old suits

*sigh*

I guess for now its bedtime..and I'll talk more later on

Good night..and god bless

Delayed reaction holiday post

  • Jan. 7th, 2010 at 12:04 AM
It's a little late to say Happy New Year but HAPPY NEW YEAR AND HAPPY HOLIDAYS BEFORE THAT!!

2009 was a pretty decent year over all! I want to say a big "<3 you" to all my buddies here on LJ. I really wish I could have sent holiday gifts this year but financially it just wasn't possible for me I'm afraid ;o; (I've gone from possibly 3 jobs back down to just translating, boo). But you guys are all awesome and I appreciate you so much.

"We don't need you to work here anymore" aside, I had a lovely holiday with my family. Had Xmas dinner with my dad's siblings and families, hosted my brother for a few days, and then my parents spent New Years with us and helped us do some work on the house. TK and our dad built a bench for our kitchen table (so cute!) and we painted the upstairs hall and downstairs bathroom. That is our family's idea of vacation, seriously.

And I got some sweet holiday swag )

Have a happy 2010 :D

Comic book stuff

  • Jan. 6th, 2010 at 11:36 PM
I kinda want to share some of the illustrations I did that are comic book related. I know I haven't really said much about it here. I'm not actually sure what to write, because right now, our plan is to first start printing it in French, and after, if we feel ready to do it and if we have enough time, we will translate it. So because of this, I can't really share the official blog. (well I could, but it's in french, so I'm guessing most of you wouldn't be interested.)

Needless to say that this project has kept me busy for many months now. And I'm very very slow because it's a huge learning process. While I do get better with every new page, it also means that the older pages need a lot of revisions.

At first, I didn't know how to draw a plane at all... now, I'm no expert, but at least I know where I am going a little more. *laughs* As far as style goes, it wasn't too consistent at first, but now it's getting there too. I've also opted for a screentones... printing black and white should technically be cheaper. But there is also the fact that I'm really loving what can be done with screentones, so I want to learn how to use it in my own work.

I'm not master of tones though. So what I have today is rather simple. Lineart is inked with good old trusty pen and nib. Screentones are digital.

And there are my 4 boys. They are the "main" characters in my story.

I spent my last day in Singapore taking the train from the airport to the Singapore IT Expo (SITEX) and back. There was a “left baggage” service where I dumped my bags for a fee so I could spend the morning hunting for camera lenses at, hopefully, bargain prices.
SITEX was one crowded place and [...]
